UN-Habitat

UN-Habitat, is an institution of the United Nations Organization based in Nairobi, Kenya, known as the United Nations Agency for Human Settlements. UN-Habitat aims to ensure that all human beings can enjoy decent housing and strengthen cities and towns under the umbrella of ecologically sustainable. It was founded in 1978 at the Habitat I Conference, which took place in Canada. Although due to its scarce economic resources UN-Habitat has had to limit itself to promoting only the point of sustainable cities.
