World Health Organization (WHO)
The World Health Organization (WHO) is a specialized body of the United Nations and represents the highest authority in health matters, born on July 22, 1946, with its constitutive treaty, with the purpose of ensuring that the peoples of the world have the highest level of Health. For this reason, in its Constitutive Treaty it establishes as part of its guiding principles that “Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being, and not only the absence of affections or diseases. The enjoyment of the maximum degree of health that can be achieved is one of the fundamental rights of every human being without distinction of race, religion, political ideology or economic or social condition. The health of all peoples is a fundamental condition for achieving peace and security, and it depends on the broadest cooperation of individuals and States ”. With the situation of the Covid-19 Pandemic and as the body with the highest international authority, it is the one who has been at the forefront of the pandemic, presenting possible solutions to the States and accompanying them to face the problem. It is based in Geneva, Switzerland.
